This weekend just gone marked our second annual run to Bridgewater. It was an invitational thing, but most of the folks we invited didn't come...not sure whether its because they don't like us, are scared of us, or because we weren't really that organised as far as getting the invites out...either way we hope you make it next year 'cause it was a great time.

Anyway, here's some pics, i hope you enjoy them.

Katie ad i drove the '40 over to my half brother, Dave Beljans, house to meet him and Merl.

We drove in to Woodend to meet the rest of the crew who were coming up from Melbourne.

Craig Watsons father, Ian, had his '36 Ford out. Original paint. Very cool.

We hit the road and drove to Maldon, a beautiful little town.

After a coffee, chat and some minor tune ups we hit the road again. Next stop the Loddon Bridge Hotel.

This is Hoeys stock F truck, sorry its not HAMB friendly but if you knew Hoey you'd say it was ok.

Rosco had some banger issues...so we all got together and lost fittings in the grass. Then Rosco drove 5 hours to go get a trailer and come back for last drinks. He had as good a weekend as any of us i think, Rosco's a trooper.

    Shannon Cato. Hot rodder.

After a healthy afternoon of beer and pub meals, we crossed the bridge to the motel. Katie and i got a room with a view.

We spent the evening in the pub doing all the things you usually do in pubs, and woke in the morning to another day of perfect weather, happy to be out of town and in good company, driving our hot rods.

Got Rosco's A model on the trailer and made plans to head back to Woodend for a bbq at Daves place.

We got back to Daves place and he, and his good woman Merl, put on a hell of a bbq...it was an awesome finish to a great weekend. Frank and Chris came by in Franks '32, and Steve came by in his Merc so we all got to stare at that for a while...

It was the Vultures run. It was Hot Rodding. It was great. See you next year maybe?

Nice thread Junior. Sorry you can't see my greeting a little clearer in that pic. What a great weekend it was. Every bit as good as it appears in the pics.

Next year for sure, you guys are tops.

  9. Now I'm really sorry I couldn't fit it in! As it turned out the wagon didn't want to go anywhere anyway until I somehow cleared a fuel problem late Saturday.

  10. Looks like a great run. You guys have some nice cars. Thanks for the photos.

  11. Thanks for the pics Dave. Looked like a great weekend, couldn't have asked for better weather. Its also really good seeing Jude and her roadster. I used to see that damn near daily going to work in the mornings years back.

As for Shannon, shouldn't it also read beer connoisseur?

  15. the only thing missing for most of em is the royal derby

  16. Great shots and write up "Junior" - you've just been nominated photographer and HAMB PR man from now on!

Great run with great people, thats what makes this hot rod world go around..

  17. That old roadster sure looks good .. nice to see that Dave still owns it 25 years on, I reckon she could fry those rear tyres real easy if it still has the same powerplant! It might just have been an unfortunate clash on the dates, there was another event the same day and a lot of traditional cars turned up, Looks like you guys had a great day too!

  18. Yeah, I have. Was trying to put it nicely. Can't come out and say he's a bit of a pisshead now can I...... :D

    If only I'd known earlier...

Dave you didn't mention the BBQ, or I would have come up for that! I was free Sunday.

Glad to see you all had a good time, but how could you not.

Dave, I'm one of those with the invite that didn't come, really sorry as it looked like a killer weekend, unfortunately life gets in the way.
