Love this thread one of the best. I am working on it but it needs 2"s more in the rear, it'll get there I hope.

Haven't seen many 37 Fords but I really like this style of look may change up to a taildragger
. I am not into street rods but believe suspension and brake upgrades are a safety feature .

Second is how tire fits fender as of now

red is build but Creme colored

  13. frame dragging isn't taildragging...forward rake cars are obviously not TAILDRAGGING

Here's something I'm working on for my old lady. 41 two door sedan. Will be running full skirts, gront and back bumpers, and a slight nose up stance

Yeah I really think the 37 would look good with a 1 inch hair cut maybe a touch more and sloping back . This is a ways down the road had work done and I have to rework it .

Hey Manny the Top one is a lovely custom in it's own right but it's not a taildragger, it's slammed to the floor.

Seems to be a lot of slammed cars being posted on this thread. Shame as they are obviously not taildraggers.

    Paul.

  20. I was thinking the exact same thing. Taildraggers are the optimum of stance for a custom car and slammed on the ground is the exact opposite.

  21. Slammed to the ground is perfect.................for Minitrucks.

  25. The '50 Ford is very correct in my book. Will it get shiny paint?

Shoebox1950 definitely gets it, like D Conrad says it's a spot on taildragger.

    Shoebox1950's (Rob) Shoebox is fantastic...

But still not a taildragger the way I see it.

To qualify as a Taildragger the stance needs to be... tail dragging. (speed boat stance) and the car needs to have external fenders (fenders that are separate, removable from the main body, also called Fat Fender cars). Pre 1948 (even earlier for some GM models).

Thank You, Rik! That's just what I expected, or at least hoped to find here; not so many slammed to the ground cars.

Would be great to see more real taildraggers!

I just had to show again this beauty from the page 2.
