Technical 41-46 chevy pickup hood.

Hi everyone, looking for some technical info on the 41-46 chevy pickup hood, as I'm looking at modifying the hood, hood sides and grill on my 38 ford deluxe front sheet metal.

I don't want my 38 hood to just hinge at the cowl put would like it to hinge along the center as the chevy does.

So just looking for any photographs of how it works and were it connects, or any other info that could be helpful to me.

Why not side hinge the stock hood in one piece?

 

I have seen this done before and really want to do something different.

 

Anything anyone ?

 

It's basically a long hinge that mounts on the cowl and the radiator support
