My new 55 Chevy 409 4-speed back yard find I have known about this 55 for a few years now and the previous owner is a member here and lives about 1-1/2 miles away from me. I was able to finally buy the 55 today The 409 is from Pat’s original 62 Belair that he purchased new in April of 1962 Pat had pulled the engine out of the Belair back in 64 because his wife could not drive a four speed car so he put a six banger with power glide in the car for his wife to drive. the engine has about 14K miles on it and its a QA 380HP with the T10 4 Speed & 4.56 GM posi the cars has been off the road since 1983[IMG] and yes she will need some work but just glade to have this 55 Chevy with 09[IMG]

That's bad ass! I was wondering about the Ford wheel too, never seen that before.

I bet that car was the local "King of the Street" in it's hometown back in the day.
That's an awesome combination, glad to see you scored this car!:)

Very nice!!! There have been several inquiries about headers for the 348/409 engines into the Tri-Five cars; I'll bet you'll get lots of questions about those fender well units if word gets out about the car. What rear end happens to be in the car? One last thing, if you ever get too overwhelmed with having too many 409's, I'd be happy to take one off your hands, very happy. 409, 409, giddy up, giddy up 409....................Butch/56sedandelivery.

where did the "late model" wiper motor come from?

  16. Teaching her to drive a standard shift wasn't an option I assume?
