I sleeved the bolt hole so as not to crush the tubing when the cab was bolted down.

I don't have a pic, but the entire underside of the cab was coated with POR 15.

In this pic you can see kick panels and inner cowl installed, but lots of work left on the outer cowl and firewall

The rear is out of a '69 Mercury Montego, narrower than most people use on these trucks

Differential was in good shape, but we replaced bearings, seals, brakes, etc.

I found this interesting repair on the tear down. Not one, but two safety pins.

Sorry I've not updated in a while. For some reason the app wouldn't let me upload pics. I reinstalled and seems to be working.

Nice....I feel sick everytime I look at pics of others doing the rust repairs. I am so glad I am past that part.

Are you going to try and match the paint on the corners to the og paint? I found a Rustoleum hunter green that is almost a dead ringer for the og green, so on mine I am going to use it to spray the spots I repaired and then wet sand it to try and match. I eventually want to do a rear paint job but that should get me by while hiding some of the work I did. Should be too hard to find a black that matches...

Yes, blended the paint. Base coat black with no clear matches the sheen well. I WILL NOT paint this truck. I want it to look like it did when I was a kid.

The seat is out of a late 80's Chevy pickup recovered in oxblood red cause that's the color it was when I was a kid. I remember my Mom making the seat cover and matching steering wheel cover for it in the 70's.

After cutting the brake pedal mount I made a template out of 1/4" plywood for the new master cylinder.

After welding the new master cylinder mount in, this is the way looks in the frame.
