History drag racing history in pictures

    I am not 100% sure if this is in the right forum, if it isnt, I appoligize.
    My Dad sent me this link today and this guy has some very cool pics of all different eras of drag racing. Not sure if its been posted before but I couldnt find it. Hell, this guy may be a member here. Thought you guys might enjoy checking it out, I did.

    Well, my car's not road worthy yet and it's raining. If it was ready, I wouldn't be driving anyway, so thanks for giving me something to tide me over.

    That's a GREAT link and a cool look at drag racing history. Saved to bookmarks!

    The beginning of the Dragster section is inspiring. It's amazing to see what guys came up with in order to race. Before all the rules and sponsors, there was just mad, crazy fun.

    Thanks for posting, in the altered section picture 42 of the34 altered sedan is my car that picture was taken at Great Bend KS 1959 ran Buddy Anderson Fiat for money he won by a wheel I belive that was the first year for duel lane timing.it seems to me their were 54 cars in b altered .the car was painted candy apple red.

    Glad you guys are enjoying it. I havent gotten through the entire thing yet but it is sure cool. Mudflap261, that is so cool that your car is in there.

  15. I can only see one page of the early front engine cars,,and the one posted as Bobby Langleys car of 1957 is incorrect,,,That is his car around 1960..Scorpion 2.

    Wbrw32, from what I have read on his opening page, he is welcome to corrections. His e-mail is listed there. Send him a note and I am sure he will appreciate it. As far as not being able to see the entire site, it is possible it is a little overloaded with a lot of people viewing it.
