Here's a pic of the back pan scoloped out for exhaust and resestd for number plate. Have some fishtails I might use. Hindging back guards is a good idea never thot of that. Was thinking having some sort of quick release on the airbag and shocks. So diff drops down enough to get wheels off. Thanks for comments guys.

Front suspension is ht hk Holden with comodore steering rack and hq brakes. witch will be airbagd. Rear end is 8 inch ford with disc brakes triangulated four bar and bags. Most chassis work is done. That guy had a lot of really good parts. I got a sedan with this coupe was going to use it for parts but was a bit to good to strip down so swapped it for sbc and th350. Mite have to make trip up to drop off head lights and have a look at your Tudor.

Haven't made my mind up on wheel covers yet. There's a guy that does some awsome work metal spinning we know mite get him to spinn up some one offs.
Still have original artillery wheels they mite be a bit big for how low I won't to go with it.

  8. Yea man, your welcome to come up to the shed whenever your up this way, not a hell of a lot to see on the 28 yet, just building the chassis at the mo, just built an open drive banjo with 9" axles and dropped a model A axle so hopefully it will be a roller soon, got some monster piecrust drag slicks on the water as well so I can't wait to fit those.
Few other things in the shed to look at though. Do you still have the Hudson steering box? if so want to sell it?

Fantastic chop & body lines on your car. You are doing great work. I'd be interested in a mock-up photo of the front sheet metal installed. I have a suspicion it will look awesome!!

Rear fenders have always been a problem on the Terraplanes. Other than the fender skirts, did you have to rework them? One of the most beautiful grilles ever made! Looks great!!!

Very cool build, I'll also be watching this one, so make sure you keep the updates coming!!

It's amazing how similar those profile shot's look to a '37 Chevy, the contours, the belt line and running board details!

Beautiful metalwork so far, and I agree that it'd be a crime to swap out the grille on that car, it's the best part of the car stock.

  18. Colour me impressed. These are some pretty homely looking cars as stockers and you´ve really put some flow into this one.

Awesome car you are building! I agree with Squablow, the grill is what makes these cars unique.

Here is a picture of my friend's 36 Terraplane it started off as a 5w coupe, the car was built by hambr; the cisco kid:

The 36 grille is so much better looking than the 37, I'd stick with it.

Cool car Ophy!! I always think these Hudsons need the windscreen leaned back though.

For the rear guards you could try some studs which run through the 1/4 panel and use large wingnuts to attach. Something thats easily undone on the side of the road if needed. Just an idea.:)

    Great work,PB
