:D I'm just messing with you Tim. :) I know exactly what you mean. I have built engines myself in the past but wanted my Y Block done right, hence having one built by you.

I'm doing the best I can on my project and plan to try and do my own paint too.
It's a learning process and it is a slow one.
I get a bit jealous when I see some of your progress:) But that is my problem and really isn't serious.

Carry on, the car looks amazing, a lot different than when I saw it in person.

  2. It was a pretty good day yesterday! :D;)

It all started with a trip to the muffler shop.

Love your videos of first rides! Inspiration for the rest of us that have a project under construction. The fire ups and the first drives are unforgettable!

  9. So you kept the cowl gas tank??

I've seen so many Model A builds where they take the cowl tank out that it's neat to see one with it still in use.

  10. Agreed

  11. Yep! It works and I have a back seat. ;) Besides, it's a "restoration". :D

Beautiful car, congrats. The engine looks sweet too.
    I'm a big fan of different V8's i.e. not a SBC.

    Looks and sounds great, Tim!

  14. Tim-what material are you using for those bitchin' fuel lines? Is that cunifer? Copper-clad steel? Looks great!

  15. Just copper tubing. Not worried about "work hardening" everything is tight and I have a flex hose to the firewall.

BTW: Re-painted the doors yesterday, will polish them in the next couple of days and see how well it matches. Should be good, used the original paint that is on the body.

Tim, I didn't want to be a jerk and ask about the doors.
Maybe I missed it earlier, what happened when they were painted to make them not match?

  17. I was actually going to ask about the doors just had not got around to it!

  18. Long story, my fault and had to do with mixing. I may explain deeper when the doors are back on and I know it's a good match.

Your '30 looks fantastic, I'm diggin the choice to go with a factory color combo paint job and the fact that this old ford is ford powered - keep up the good work!

  20. Been working on the Sedan a little here and there, installing some of the interior. I want to thank Bryan (crminal) for his help with the back seat. Can't wait to see what he does with it.

I think you'll agree the door matches the body now.
