Spoggie: Each one a gem! 57 Corvette Bob: Rad! Gene Winfield's open house is this Saturday and I'm working on this piece for Moldy Marvin and East Coast Artie to auction off. The Jade Idol scratched.

  7. Thanks fellas. Wow, Gene gets around- I was shakin' his hand on Sunday. 15,000 miles away.

  8. Spoggie, I was standing beside you, looking over your shoulder while you were painting that top one on saturday. I didn't even contemplate that it may have been you till I got home. If I had have realised I would have introduced myself

  11. GREAT START SPOGGIE. Hope the show was profitable, the work is stellar!

Bob, I love the way you painted this photo. The car is, well... interesting... You've done it a great service.

Bo you took the Jade Idol to a place it's never been.... Noo, one second thought... it's been to Coolzville lots of times. Dig seeing it BoMaster styled.

    Fool Injection, Nice work!
I'm planning a '54 Caddy in my head as we speak.... gonna sleep on it...

Nothing new from me yet so here's a couple sloppy re-pops...

This week, no car, but a... sewing machine!!!
It's for a friend of mine, who's a pretty good upholsterer and a really cool guy.

I didn't spot the art show in its new location and mistakenly started a new one - doh! Apart from messing up forums, here's what I've been up to. First, an amazing Vintage Hot Rod event on the famous Pendine Sands (what we used for speed records before coming over to Daytona). I've posted some stuff in a dedicated thread so I'll just put two pictures up - and a link...

Loads more photos and a few sketches in the Flickr Gallery.

More recently I went to my local hill-climb circuit for the last bash of the summer. Some lovely machines and perfect weather for sketching...

I love the how the end of the side trim on the silver 54 Chevy sedan mirrors the beltline trim. Is that real or digital? The beltline looks like Pontiac, but it isn't is it?

Yes, it is. The beltline is the trim from a '54 Pontiac. The side trim is from a '53 Packard. Hiring Dan was probably the best money I have spent on this car. I had some ideas w/ color, wheel covers, length of trim, etc... that looked awesome in my head, but looked crappy when actually applied to the car. I wasn't sure about the 2 different trims either, so I wanted to make sure I had him add that and I think it turned out great.

  25. You guys are the reason I dropped out of art school!
It's not enough to know the technique, you still have to have some talent!!
    Great stuff, all of you......

Amazing high quality creativity so far. I missed you all the last 2 weeks. Here are a few of mine from the recent Rodder's Journal Revival.

Fool Injection - love your manipulations to that sky blue Caddy and the final effect.
Cool cars and hot looking chicks - very well drawn Mr. Ervin (jigger)
frogz - very cool and different as always.
Palat - outstanding work! I like the 54 Chevy the best - great color combination and that cool subtle reflection
Wonderfully creative images, LEADFOOT78 - I especially like that cool mirror image in the middle.

Nice work everyone else as well.
