No reason why you cannot stay...IF you like old cars then you're good...however, this forum is for "traditional" cars of '64 and earlier vintage...

If you go, it's your choice, no one is kicking you out...it's just that your wagon does not fit here...

1965 and earlier but just because your car is newer is no reason not to enjoy the forum.

Looks like that ,'57 Chev wagon is a funeral car. It's got a really tall and thick roof,
and it also looks like it has some extra wheelbase added.

Yeah. I think they were in the middle of a funeral which is why I took on the fly pics instead of stopping and snapping a few.

  12. This is my Dads Impala Nomad, that I recently purchased. It's nice that it's back in the family.

Funny story about Wizzards car, My dad had one just like it, he drove it forever, it took a bad hit from a women driver so with the insurance he bought some thing else, he gave the car to a friend of mine who put it in a demolition derby, against real car, lincolns, caddies and chyslers, it was so light that the big boys couldn't hurt it, it would just slide on the dirt and keep going, he just let them kill each other and won!

Heres a couple of unconventional longroofs at my place, the first is a 54 International 50 passenger school bus, which is a family historical vehicle, my dad bought it in 1972 back in Pennsylvania, back during the busing BS, he had bought his first home across the street from a brand new school, then they decided my sister and I were going to be bussed into Philly, a one hour ride away, so my dad bought this bus loaded all out stuff and my uncles stuff into it, left the first 4 rows of seats and headed west, we were headed to Colorado were he thought he had some land, turned out it was a scam, so we continued on to Casper Wyoming, we lived in the bus at a KOA till he found a house, while living in Casper he added a kitchen, bathroom and beds for 6. Someday I would like to find a 5 ton truck chassis with a big diesel and shorten it and make a hauler out of it. The other one is a 59 Chevy step van, a biker buddy had it but when he moved he couldn't take it with him, it has a six cylinder with an updraft carb, so the dog house didn't stick up so far!

Thanks for the kudos, I'm glad you like it.

It is not the same car as the avatar although it was pretty rough when the project started. The avatar was a 59 I came across in a Bryan, Texas junkyard on New Years Eve a few years back, got alot of good pieces off that car.

Thats a pretty cool story, how many people get an adventure like that? Is the bus restorable?

Man!! I so dread that on a car that i've put a lot of time and money into! So far i've only been rear ended twice , relatively minor, but any day you leave the driveway this can happen :(

What did the insurance end up doing? They better give you at least 10 grand plus keep the car.
