I found this pic online and it is a social network site , this car showed up at a scrapyard in Fon Du Lac , Wisconsin , and it is for sale , if you act fast , does anyone know of any history on this car? The car's name was "A Touch Of Class"...

I don't think that's an A gasser or an Altered. Maybe Moldified Production or Fungus Experimental.

  8. I'm thinking it's a 63 by what's left of the grille surround on top and the fact that it's a hartop with the thicker rear roof pillars as opposed to the pointed rear posts on the 64 hardtops. I gotta say if it's a 426 car with any history at all it's still a builder. If it's a 318 car or less, it's story appears to have run it's course.

Looks like a 63 Plymouth to me. Still lots of good parts that are getting harder to find there....

63 and the clock's run out on that one. Unless the vin verifies something special of course.

  18. I would say that that'll buff out, but I'm afraid the paint is the only thing holding the molecules in the shape of a car.

Well yea, judging by the impact on the nose, I'd guess its been "altered" at least a couple of inches...:D
Hey, its got lettering on the side it MUST be a famous race car, right?

That's a perfect start, If I was closer I'd go at least see if they would take scrap price. History or not pretty cool old Mopar. I guess I'm getting more sentimental.

  25. Could be an old bracket car... which would make it worth about $300-$400 for scrap.

With the organic growth and rust I'm not sure that one is even a viable donor rig. With the lettering and bashed up nose it may have indeed been a demo car that didn't make it past the first or second ram into someone else's car in the main event. Being left out back in the slough for 20 years after that did the rest.

    Yeah..that ain't gonna buff out...

  29. To me, it looks like the rear axle was shoved sideways about 8", not forward like a altered wheelbase car. Looks like a demo car to me. Salvage, maybe the roof and passenger wing window. Not worth loosing sleep over, let China figure out what to do with it!
