The Rumble, Wichita, KS Sept 28, 2013 The Rumble (formerly Rumble in Delano) has been going on each year in Wichita for a few years now. This is the second year for the show’s new late September date and the first time for the show’s new location just south of the Go Away Garage in downtown Wichita. Those two changes can be tough for a show to survive, but from my experience Saturday I think the show came through fine. I really dig the under Kellogg/US-54 location, it just has an interesting and kool look about it. Here’s my Galaxie when I rolled in. As always, to purchase any of these photos as a print, click on it and you’ll be taken to the gallery where you can pick size and paper style. Metallic is my favorite paper right now but they all have their own place to be used and the site will even tell you what each does best. There were quite a few early arrivers like myself. Doug’s Toad and McPhail’s 41 Buick at the registration booth. A few of the pinstripers hung out at the Go Away Garage and had a panel jam. The platform out side of the Go Away Garage made for a great place to watch the incoming rides. Jason and his truck have been at a lot of the same shows as I have been lately, and I’m not complaining. Jack and his 51 leading in a few friends from the Mulvane Marauders. The 51 and Joe’s 41 Ford Pickup behind it took home 4 combined awards. The awards were hand made and painted and some of the koolest I’ve seen all year so far. Congrats to Fast AL’s Upholstery on the Best Interior award on the 51. I just can’t stop taking photos of the Toad. Here’s some from a photo shoot for CKD magazine. And McPhail’s 41 Buick sitting pretty. Johnny Hammann brought out his shoebox. Look! I found a couple of Dirty Martinis with Larry Jame’s Caddy Variations on a theme… Newly finished this summer, and already one of my favorites. That's the limit for photos for this post I have tons more to come. See you at a show, Royboy
Another that Ive seen all over this year but I cant stop taking pics of it. This ride is a regular at cruise night up in Salina, there will be more info on it coming, stay tuned ... Something about this ride I really dig, maybe its the attention getting paint, maybe its the pie cut slicks, maybe its a lot of stuff. So much style in the Pontiacs Simple recipe, and it works. Ooops I thought I had another shot of this truck without people walking almost in front of it. Thats the risk I take when shooting from so far away at a car show. Like I said yesterday, I see Jason and his truck everywhere and I cant stop taking photos of it. Nice looking roadster. Another simple recipe with great results. I think I should shoot a feature on it, and get the skinny on all of the details for you, what do you think? So much cleaner without the handles and the factory turn signals. See you at a show, Royboy
I just looked at part two on your site. I agree with you about Nadine, she just looks so right. And after following Jeb home after the show I can attest to the fact she RUNs pretty good too!
Ive shot dozens of photos of Joes Caddy over the years. I shouldnt love it so much but I do, and I dont care who knows. Matts roadster is just too kool. Cassies 57 Oh sweet Nadine. For most of you, your ride wishes it had this many miles and was still kickin. Chad Ward was busy painting off the tailgate of his ride. My buddy Elvis Caddy, yes he knows his tire is going flat. A couple of my favorite Dirty Martinis entertaining the crowd with song and dance. Heres the trophy table, all kool hand made trophies, because those mean more. Happy Birthday Steve! Kool kid hauler! The hosts of the show. Gimlet wanted to be the one to stand next to McPhails 41. With the girls gone, and all of the guys focusing back on talking cars now, it was back to shooting car show coverage photos. How kool is this? Another kool truck that I see all over the place. There was a lot of orange at the show, and all of it was well done. Some great quality paint work. See you at a show, Royboy
Looks like a good time! Cool Kustoms ,hot rods and hot chicks. What more could ya ask for? What no Jetter caddys? These guys are everywhere ,thought for sure they would be there.Probably driving there cars in some other country like Canada or Mexico.

They're down in Fort Worth this weekend for the GG show. Puttin miles on those kool Caddys. Thanks guys!
Larry James Caddy Okay, I need this. Primarys members cars. The Go Away Garage hosted a panel jam with some heavy hitters around the table. Lots of kool art was created. Matt rocking his Royboy Stencil hat. Matt's roadster Doug Reed and the Toad. Some of the ladies of the pinup contest. And then it was just me and my ride. Time to go grab a bite to eat and head to the after party. Thats it for this show, click here and see the entire gallery! See you at a show, Royboy
