This year was the 37th Valla Park Hot Rod Run put on by the Dragens Hot Rod Club from Sydney. We have missed only one year!!Valla Park is a beach side holiday park with cabins, demountables and lots of camping spaces.
This year we had the best weather for many years with 9 days of sunshine and very warm temps for late September.

This has now extended from the old 2-3 days to a 7-10 day event for a lot of participants. It coincides with school holidays so there a lot of families with kids as well enjoying the break.

We set up on the first Friday and did all the usual stuff around our cabins with the party tent and all the decorations. This year the theme was Disney and we had a good collection of Disney characters as part of the decorations.

This year I think the number were close to 400 cars with the number of Rookies down on previous years.Lots of cruising around the park and the Saturday show n shine in Nambucca Heads was filled to capacity.
These first few pics are our cabin setup ready for a week of partying!!

Bugger another event to add to the bucket list. Cool pics and coverage of a great event.
Cool to see some rebels with out fenders , how they should be. At least we are lucky enough in NZ to be able to preserve our fender exemption .fenders or not at least you are out driving the wheels off your cars when in reality that's what it's about .

    hudson48,

Do you know what that big black & white coupe in post #14 is? Maybe a '32 REO? Don't see one of those at every rod run. Really like those '33-'34 Ford utes, too.

    Thanks for posting, Kinky6

Is that George Kotevich?I thought his roadster was highboy but very low.
If it is it was built by the same guy who did my channelled 32,Warren Wilke from Toowoomba Rod & Custom Shop.More on George later if it is the person you are referring to.

    It is a 1932 Nash with a 302 Ford/C4 etc

  30. Thanks for keeping with it!

That Nash is pretty damn awesome. From that to the Metro,..that makes me laugh.

Oh not sure if I have mentioned this before but your Hudson is an inspiration and a stunning car. Hats off :)
