I went to the Ducktail Run Friday and Saturday, it had agreat turnout. I saw and heard a nice Model A coupe w/ fenders and no hood 6 twos, very nice sounding and looking A. That being said talked a little to the owner and I ask about the "mill" he said it was a long story but it was a 460ci small block with abunch of stuff done to it. I didn't think about it at the time but is that possible? Very nice car nonetheless but thought about it later and all I can come up with is I don't know so........ any answers ????
There are aftermarket blocks currently available for sbc's that can get up to 472", and sbf's up to 460". A company out of detroit is currently making and aftermarket block and head configuration for sbc's, that can support well over 600 cubic inches. Possible...yes. But SUPER expensive and pretty much a complete waste of money in a street driven hot rod.
That's kinda what I thought sounded nice but I don't even think he was running race gas. Mabey he misspoke or I heard him wrong, also said dart iron eagle heads so I doubt he bought a custom block and is runnin iron eagles. Thanks for the reply just wondering.
you can buy small block 454ci from motown motors. lots of the big 4x4 guys run huge cubic inch small blocks all about power to weight. an a coupe with a sbf 460 would be bad to the bone if you find pics or a video post that
I don't hae any more pics but I sounded good. I figured 12.5 or 11.5 pistons and heads. Thanks for the info though
