I will be there as a spectator. My wife and I will be in Cape May for our 25th anniversary this weekend. She saw a flier for the RoG at our vehicle storage facility last weekend. She is now insisting that we show up and spend some time there each day. THAT is why I married this woman!

  9. CDO, That looks like fun!

BCC, I'll be attending as a spectator also. Look for the CrossMembers tee or jacket, it'll probably be me!

skryla, My wife actually agreed to the 7-hour drive just to attend RoG....AND we're staying at the StarLux! Right smack-dab in the middle of it all! Hope I don't burn her out on the first big show she attends!

And I'll have my brushes, just in case someone wants to meet on a side street......

Since the Antique nats have gone to 1/8th mile, They haven't run there.

Do they run it any where else?

  19. Crazydaddyo - that dragster looks very cool - reminds me of the project me and my father have with a blown banger engine on the drawing board. Plan is to finish my T tub and then do the dragster. Will be in LA on Oct 12th and heading to California Hot Rod Reunion - what area are you in? Thanks, Greg

  21. Hey guys, I know I am a long way from most of you but I have an A banger and tranny I need to get rid of. It is stuck/unknown. It is free to a good home. If I can not find a home it will have to go to scrap. Located in Western South Dakota.

Please don't let it go to scrap. I'm just a bit south of you in Kansas. Maybe we can figure out a way to get together for an adoption. I promise to give it a warm and loving home. I'm just slightly north of Salina in Beloit. If you want to take this offline, that would be fine also. Just send me a pm.

I picked up a 39 box to run in the coupe. Buying it kind of ruined my buget for a couple months so I have time to plan:). Is the Clings adapter the only way, or is there an "old school" way to adapt it using Ford parts? I was going to go 4spd overdrive but this came along and its super clean in and out as was a decent price. Thanks in advance for opinions and knowledge.

  24. The model B case can accept the v8 internals. Not sure of specifics.

    Hello Gents
I am working on converting a stock A distributor to electronic which will then be connected to a hidden black box that can be programmed by a laptop to advance pretty much as much as I like in about six rpm steps dwell is also adjustable. So my question is for a basically stock banger with twin carbs, headers and a 6.1 head, what would be the ideal advance and at what revs?
I have taken some pictures, if it works ok I will put up the details.

Too many variables for one advance curve to fit all. Start with stock, and power tune on dyno (preferred) or road (much more difficult and less accurate).

The Barn that I got my car from back in 07 is still hiding banger parts. They stopped by and dropped off a box of good stuff the other day when I was in NJ. I will clean it up and post better pics
