Take a look at southern polyurethanes. http://www.southernpolyurethanes.com/ I've haven't used them yet, there's plenty of info in a HAMB search

 

Lots of good ideas ,remember if you trash 1 trying to get'em loose you can go with a repop

 

A few scrap wood test boards work well for trying things like that.

 

I'll keep looking around I made the mistake of not recording it when I tore it out
