I see there will be a couple opportunities for the "show" cars to make a pass.

My question is, what type tech will the "slow" cars need to pass? I'm talking about cars running times in a 30 second range!

I'm sure helmets, long pants, shoes and seat belts will be required for anything on the track?

 

They're teching the show cars for safety--no bungee cords for battery hold downs, must have seat belts... Standard sorta stuff.

What time do the races start on Saturday?

I'm putting together the hourly schedule now, and it'll be posted up there tomorrow or Wednesday.
Quickly, the gates open at 6, spectator and show-car gates at 8:30.
Open time trials from 9-10am, racer's meeting on the starting line at 10.
3 rounds of qualifying start at 10:30
There will also be a round of show car test n tune in there.
Please add "-ish" to all times mentioned after 10am!

I think the site has the first "eliminations" after lunch as well

 

Tech opens at 8:30
Open time trials from 9:00-10:am.
Mandatory drivers meeting at 10am

3-rounds of Qualifying begins after the meeting.

Glad I saw this! Didn't realize it had been rescheduled! I've already got prior commitments on Saturday but I am going to try my best and get down Friday night after work and shooting some pictures.

Where exactly is main street in Commerce? I'm familiar with the track and the way in to the track but that's about it.

At the Commerce Stadium six, just south of the expresway on the left...near the QT station.

 

Had a great time today. Weather was perfect and there was a ton of people there. Lots of neat stuff in the swap meet and some very nice cars made it out for the show. Gasser guys also put on a heck of a show.

Big thanks to Brad for starting the show and can't wait for next year when I can actually make some passes instead of cruising the lot
