History 60's Full Fendered Coupes with Pie Crusts!

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Hackman, Sep 24, 2013.

  1. So this is kind of a traditional pic request. I did a search but I came up short.

I recently finished up a low, chopped, full fendered A Coupe and I am leaning in the direction of a late fifties early sixties fuel coupe look for the street. The car is plenty bad enough to hold its own and I feel as if I need to pay homage to the era.

So if anyone has pics or info of such cars, please share. I know I will really appreciate it!

    Thanks HAMB
    Hack

Samsel Bros "Teddy Bear" B/G Victoria...
Its probably worth noting, 90% of the period pics posted on this thread so far are dedicated race cars, not street driven hot rods.

I've always wondered if this was the same car the now banned Groucho was selling about three years ago. A lot of similarities and could have been updated through the years. Saw it at the roadster show and was supposed to have been built by an aircraft mechanic.

I dont think so, I dont think the fenders were bobbed on the green car. I will dig up the R&C feature on it later, and compare it to all the pics I have of groucho's A, I saved a bunch of detail shots of it. There was a lot of stuff on Grouchos car that was pretty distinctive.

  28. Here's my T coupe that was street driven with slicks in the mid 60's.

Cool thread. This is the style that I'm building my coupe. It's a 34 Chevy Master, though.
