Walking thru Barrett Jackson set up looking at the Barris 63 vette Asteroid, never seen it before, pretty interesting car. Anyone know anything about it? Sorry, no picks, I'll get fired.
Just that it was featured in a magazine or two not long after it was built. All of the photos that come up show it as being gold with wild side pipes and wire wheels. Maybe it spent a couple of years on the show circuit and got tucked away somewhere until lately.
I'll see if i can find more info, it's definitely not gold, about the color of a clean copper penny. Funny, they have mags on one side and wires on the other, guess it must have 2 sets of wheels. On a side note, saw Don Prudhomme and said hello, i guess they are auctioning off the snake and mongoose haulers and funny cars.
