  2. Burnt out , thanks for the kind words. I managed to find the Mini-Lites secondhand here, they are early ROH ones in 15x7 . I would have no problem with keeping a look out for another set for yourself or anyone else here who'd like some. There have been folks here on the HAMB ( like yourself ) who have helped me out with parts/leads on parts so if I can repay the favor/s that would be great!

Gimpy, what are a set of the Konigs worth in the USA? Here in NZ we can buy new Mini-lite style wheels for approx $1600- NZD a set ( approx $1300- USD) in 15" and 16" .

That's pretty impressive. I want to figure out eventual a way to dump my exhaust in a similar location. I like that '60s road course look alot.

Thanks. Despite the muffler and resonator it's still very loud - kind of race car-ish - especially with no interior.

Yes it is :) I have a buddy who is an importer/exporter who has a buddy in Oz who owns a wrecking yard. I got 2 complete motors with trans with all the accessories for $800. I couldn't pass it up. I wanted to keep it an I6, but the old 144 would not do to run AC and pull a trailer. I have 2 other cars with Windsors in them, and wanted something different.

I've played around with theese 4.0ls for years (I live in Australia) when I was younger I had one in a Ute making 260 HP at the rear wheels without a turbo using junkyard parts, are you planning to run a 4speed auto or t5 behind yours?

4 speed auto. Good to hear these have decent power output! Ever run one with a carb on it?

Alot of guys in speedway run them with carbs a mob called Aussie speed makes 2 and 4 barrel intakes for the sohc 4.0l, see if you can get yourself a genuine Ford set of Au headbolts and multi latest steel head gasket, fixes a problem with blowing head gaskets that they are notorious for, how are you planning to control the btr auto? They are almost completely controlled by electronic solenoids.

I got the head gaskets and rebuild parts, and made a 4bbl intake for it but it's not ready to fire. I couldn't find an intake for it when I got the motor, so I had to make do and fab one. I have to make the distributor advance as well. I figure I will cross the bridge trans wise when I get there. If there is someone who has already figured it out though, I will gladly use the info :). Maybe even a manual valve body? If you have any pics of different set ups people are doing with these let me know. Here in the states, I am pretty much on my own with this.

  28. That's a cool looking power plant, six-two.

I took my rusty old tub down to VA HAMB member ClutchDumpin'Dan's shop: Old Dominion Speed and Custom in Fredricksburg, Va. Do a search of his work on the HAMB. He's a really talented dude and can fabricate n' weld like nobody's business.

Connectors really tightened up the car. Doors sound and feel really solid now when they're closed. Big difference in cornering too.

  30. I like 'em- they work well with the Cal-Trac bars.

I'm using the "5" setting (9 firmest, 1 softest) and they're stiff, but not unpleasant.
