250 inline 6, 8" rear, C4 trans all out of a maverick, front end bits all swapped to V8 stuff and Granada disks with a CSRP kit, Ranger 10" rear drums. Shelby style UCA drop. 15x6.5 wheels from an 80s Crown Vic.

Damn engine is worn to the point it's really giving me fits lately, gonna do something about that in the spring. Wanna keep the six but power is so much cheaper with a V8.

Found some unusual caps at a swap meet, 75 mercury. The guy said they were 65 , but found on internet they're 75.
New look and the old with beauty rings.

just curious - does anyone have an early 1960s Comet with factory 260V8 and three speed automatic? I had a guy tell me that Mercury made that combo available while Ford did not.....? Ford would give you a 260 with a two-speed but not the three speed....?

One of those cars you're sorry you sold. Early production (Nov '63) with 289 4V/4 speed/bench seat. Started to build it into a semi-road racer (Global West control arms, Delta Bay crossmember/strut tower brace, leaf/link rear suspension) and had the suspension almost where I wanted it but it was starting to ride like a truck. Back went bad and I couldn't drive it for a couple of years (plus sat for another year while I recovered from surgery) and it deteriorated past my ability to work on it at the time. Oh well.....

1961 S-22, 200 with decked 250 head, long tube headers, straight pipes, weber carb and a T5 tranny. Planning on bombing the roof and putting it on bags. Switched to wide whites and baby moons recently.

I have a 62 Mercury Comet that I'm turning into a street rod. Can you tell me what is the largest tire and rims that can fit on the car without a mini-tub? I plan on installing a modified Ford 9" Rear End.

    Thanks,
