Hood springs

Hey guys, what do y'all do to fix hood springs???? Is there a vendor who sells generic springs or is there a way I can weld these????

These are for my 51 Cosmopolitan...

 

How about a trip to the wrecking yard? Other newer cars used that style spring. I'm thinking some 80s Ford cars?

Ford Cars and trucks late 70s early mid 80s. If the hood is open you'll see them right away.

That came from a Google search for Ford hood springs.

The Car springs that Smog Guy might come closer to being the right ones though as those hoods may match the Lincoln hood in weight closer.

Its funny how they broke and collapsed in themselves. There are 2 springs per hinge and that hood is HEAVY!
