1950 Chevy Lowering Blocks and U Bolts

    Alright, attempted to lower the ass end of a '50 Chevy and ran into a snag. Typical Autozone lowering blocks are too wide for the Ubolts and pads on the rear end. Also no one seems to carry the Squared off U bolts.. Does anyone sell skinny blocks and long Squared u bolts to fit these early GM cars?

    Chevs of the 40s as noted above. You can also find the correct ones listed on ebay. 3 inch blocks is about the max you can use without getting into scrub line issues.

    you can have a trailer/ spring shop bend some u bolts for you.

    Thanks for the replies, I guess I'll snatch a pair off ebay. And yea dont wanna get too low with that torq tube. Thanks again

    Our block kits are designed for the 1.75" wide springs and have 2 pin locations for the stock torque tube rear end or a late model rear end. Available with late model round u-bolts or stock square u-bolts.
