    Superb pics Phil.
Couple of good action shots with me in the zephyr and Billy in his roadster both just starting to lose traction in the sand.
I love second from last the shot of me in the zephyr and the one with me and Beverly.
She was so pleased that we got the it there and got quite emotional and tearful when I did the first run down the beach. There's a picture somewhere with her and Rosie watching my run both wiping the tears away.

Russ DeBarr, class record holder, fastest unblown car and 2nd fastest overall on the day. That is going to be a bugger to put on the back of the car.....

Our London correspondent from the P15 D24 Forum was there in his Red 48 Plymouth convertible. He is now the class record holder for 6 cylinder vintage full bodied cars at 74.5 through the traps. MOPARS get no respect.

  20. I respect everyone who ventured down the beach that day - even Robin in his Plymouth... It was proper scary stuff!

The Plymouth always looked great on the sand. i don't know why you think there was no respect.

I certainly didn't feel that there was any lack of respect for anyone's efforts on the sand.
I knew my car wouldn't be able to compete with many of the times posted but everyone shared the thrill of being part of something very special - drivers and spectators alike.
I was thrilled to be part of it and fly the flag for the Mopar sixes.
And i have Plymouth friends who are already talking about challenging next year...
    Bring it on!

  23. Today's batch. You'll have to excuse me - after Pendine we went on holiday by mistake... Some of these from the last gathering at the top of the course, and the mass return are still giving me goosebumps!

I was next in line behind you on the track Robin (No.89, the lil red pickup) and your Plymouth looked bloody ace on the sand!

Easily the coolest thread I've seen in a long time! Hate to be picky, but any more pics of the heavily chopped 33-34?? Thanks for sharing!
