Just got our tickets and room for the weekend. Apparently its almost sold out!

 

And if someone did do it they should be publicly humiliated and shot for ruining the lively hood of all the other business owners.

 

I'm surprised you could still get a room! It was almost sold out 3 weeks ago when I booked my room.

 

what hotel did ya get a room in !! i booked about a month ago and got two of the efficiency rooms at the Port Royal !! they supposedly sleep 8 adults and have a kitchenette. i got one for 3rd 4th 5th and one for the 4th 5th 6th cause i wanted to have space for all of the guys helping me with the car !!

 

So we are not running tomorrow. Festival is happening but they relocated a Boy Scout troop into our exhibition area. Speed bumps!
I'm relived. Too much prop building to do still.

My only racer, my Indian, was giving me trouble all day. Me an my pal Pepper just went through everything and got it back to performing.

Modern gas sucks! I'm getting aviation fuel now. Watch me fly! Ha

A pal talked to the Blue Palms the other day and they still had a bunch of rooms.

Be sure to mention the race for a discount!!!

Blue Palms is the closet hotel to the actual race.

I hate porta potties, may I poop in yer room?

Tickets booked, room booked, cant wait!

 

My buddies parents have a rental place on the south side of Wildwood and said we could have it for $50 a night!

Yup, it's sold out. Snooze ya loose!

No, that beach is huge!!! They were talking hotels I believe. Ya see, it's off season here at the shore. Many seasonal business's close. Luckily a few stay open after the season, and a few extras have stayed open just for the race.

I can't tell you how many people I run into a day that say, we are all going, we haven't gotten our rooms yet. Well hurry the hell up!

Rooms are cheap! Good times are priceless!

You can buy tickets on our website, theraceofgentlemen.com

This will save you a long wait to get on the beach if the crowd is like last year or doubles.

Hot rods and vintage motorcycles enter the beach at 8am sharp on Sat am. If you want into the "pits" area, you might want to be on the beach and not stuck on a line.

Pits close to spectators when the races start at 10am sharp.

We picked 10am so racers had enough time in their rooms with swim suit models, you party animals could scrape the crust from your butts, I mean eyes, and good wholesome family's could get a nice relaxed breakfast with their little ones before GO time.

Wait a minute , I was living there (North Cape May... 10 mins) last year and didn't hear a peep about this . Well I'm going to miss it again I guess . Dammit

 

Today was a good day.................I drove it for the first time and she is fun and quick. I had my restoration friend Bob drive it and he came back with the biggest grin.

NortonG and I are staying at the Blue Palm.
Sounds like you've got a hell of a spread where you're staying. May end up being the after-after party location! Haha

Rub it in. Make us all jealous.

The Blue Palm is apparently not open on the Monday. When I booked, I was only able to book a room for Friday and Saturday night, but not for Sunday night.
Just a FYI for anyone still making plans.

I went to the TROG.com site and there was nothing about shirts...

 

Not on the site yet! But coming soon.

We did print some already but have no time for shipping with all the prop work going on. They will be avail.

Buddy of mine, Pete from Precision Engineering has been changing his old hill climber into a beach racer.

The sprocket is next on the list to be changed.

Just learned that he has asked me to ride it! Oh yeah! Who sez the beach can be boring? We just need to tell the wives we need to bring our big boy toys to the beach, that's all.
