Here's mine - Canadian 24 stud heads. They are NOS in the box behind the motor.

Probably the rarest set of Ford Flathead heads would be these:

    Magnesium :)

Edelbrock Sr himself built this motor fer a local speedboat that just got restored. Alky motor with a Harmon Collins mag! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1372630016.590365.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1372630031.402883.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1372630062.853129.jpg

I scored a set of Almquist heads this weekend. They appear to be the same casting as the Speedway and Allstate heads. They should clean up well, they have years of barn dust on them!

My car had grancors on the motor when I found it but they were too corroded to use. I used Navarro's on the new engine. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1378960922.811773.jpg

Any idea as to when the Kong heads were produced? I have heard that he sold some of them unfinished and still needing machining. Cool heads for sure.

these are Hotton & Sullivan heads, made in Detroit. don't know how rare these are but have only seen one other set on a roadster (at COBO). Don Sullivan was an engineer at Ford, google him, he is a very interesting guy.

could you guys of awesome wisdom and experince help me out, I have a 218 flathead in my 52 plymouth and plan to repaint her soon all though she is decent now but after I do it I wanted to put on what looks like shiny acorn nuts on the top bolts of the flatty, I seen some somewhere where they just pushed on over the original bolts and where hollow on the inside if that makes sense, anyone have a link for thesse? that would work for my application, big thanks guys been searching but came up with nothing and I would prefer to find this sort rather than replacing the bolts all together. PM me with info if you could.

Coulda bought a pair of corroded '48 Grancors at the swap this past weekend for $450. They would need some welding on the underside for sure, and maybe redomed and fly cut for the valves too. I wonder if I'll be sorry I didn't get them.

I do already have a perfect pair though.

Crud: I realized you are looking for pictures of rare flathead HEADS, not intakes. I have a pair of Cyclone 24's stashed away that I'll pull out and get a pict. of.

Regarding Kong Jackson's heads, here is a litty ditty...

In the early 90's, I actually spoke with Kong about getting a set. Not sure how old he was then, but he wasn't a youngster. He sold them three ways:

    1) unfinished chambers so you could hog them out for your application
    2) one piece heads
    3) two piece heads that used sealant and viton o-ring around the studs. I don't recall the benefit of the two piece design.

They were $900 back then and I thought they were too much. I was also speaking with Barney Navarro and decided to go with his heads instead .

I was a punk kid and didn't realize I was actually talking to two legends of the hot rod world.

I recall Kong was still making and selling his distributors at that time as well.

I've sold off a lot my stuff and I wish I has kept most of it. One of the more uncommon intakes I still have is this Wieand 4X2 intake.

Osiecki racing heads I just picked up for my 32 5 window... It's wild how guys would just break fins off to mount the oil filter... I'm just going to clean them up in the mill and remount the oil filter to hide the broken fins

Hope the photos got attached. Donnell Sullivan was heavily involved in Ford's early racing programs for 57 yrs retiring in 1969. He was a personal engineer to the late Henry ford Sr. Hope to have this motor in the 35 coupe mid 2014.
