Good news and bad news for me. Got 2 phone calls just now.. Good news is I got the call that my windshield is done, which is that last piece of the puzzle for me. Bad news is I have last minute family obligations on Saturday. :(

I am in awe of you southwestern guys making this trip in a single day. That looks like about 500 miles round trip from where I sit. That is at the outer limits of what I would want to do in my daily, and it will cruise all day long at 90 mph in air conditioned comfort. I've been trying to talk myself into it but in the end I guess I don't own a pair of big boy pants. Certainly couldn't afford the tow bill if my car turned out to be not as reliable as I think it is.

Yeah, 500 is about right. My T has done it's time on the road to Bonneville last year, 1,732 miles....so this is a short trip :D

Come on man, put on the big boy pants and join us!

Drive up I5 on Friday night, stay in Covington, nice 2 1/2 hour drive the next day. Take a nice leisurely trip through the tri-cities on the way back, overnight in Yakima. Personally, I just added myself to my wifes AAA account and upgraded it so that I have up to 200 miles of towing. :)

Quite a bit out of the way to go thru Tri Cities from Vantage to Yakima.

That brings me back to CouverKid's question about a before or after party. My meager household budget is having a hard time justifying 500 miles and two nights in a hotel for a lunch date.

You are taking the long way home if you go though Yakima and then though tri Cities Coupe Deluxe. I'd imagine that a stop in the tri cities is involved in the process too rather than dropping out of Yakima and going up over Satus Pass.

Well it looks like my wife copped out and is going to do girl stuff with our daughter instead and I even tried to entice her with getting her picture taken with Pedro. I'll still be there camera in hand.

Just bouncing ideas around, trying to get people to come. I guess I should mind my own business. My business will be driving over the pass and having a hell of a good time. Peace

  26. Your post reminds me of the old Burger Run to Dayton,Wa. A long ways to nowhere for a hamburger. It was great. I remember cars from Oregon, Wa, Montana and Idaho. Crazy stuff. A couple of hours and everyone headed out.

    Hey Chris and fellas..
I am thinking seriously of making the scene.
Have only 8 valves in my block, but my head's as flat as any others!
And so here goes me... will travel US-97,WA-17, turn slight right onto WA-28 and then WA-283, merge onto I-90 W and exit 136 toward Vantage.
I am coming from the North with as much East as practicable. So?? this will be one... from the East!
    Go... East!!

I am feeling Good and Reliable. Just replaced Main Drive Gear with better in the 3 speed and built up another updated(12v) dizzy to install today. I am no where near what doin's Dynaflash 8 is going through.
    Go... Dynaflash 8!!
I should be fine, but any other Canada types rolling down maybe keep a look out for one another, perhaps a p.m. to me if ur going?? [ cell# exchange ]

and here's a worky on pic and another of what I look like, S2

Bad news, 12 hour work days, huge vacuum leak, un tuned motor and still none welded frame are all working against me. Don't think I will make it this year and very disappointed. Hope west side improves its numbers regardless!
