64 Galaxie dash pad

Does anyone kniw whats under it (i know the dash board), I mean is it hollow under it or is just a metal dash board that can be painted? Pics would be cool. Thanks

 

Metal dash that can be painted...But you'll probably have some holes to fill where the pad was attached.

 

Just a metal dash. The holes are under the lip of the dash. Small, easy to fix or just leave them. Not all that noticeable.

 

here is my 63 that i just took off, the holes are barely noticeable.

You'll probably have to modify the speaker grill to sit down into the dash. It has little tabs to raise it up flush with the padding.

 

This happened. Man that pad was burnt on. But now my dash is ready for paint
