I am looking for a single carb to replace the stock one

 

Carter yf is a direct bolt on for single also. As long as you get the right one for the application.

Carter yf 2100s is manual choke for 1954 chevy 235
Carter yf 2101s is auto choke for 1954 chevy 235. Sometimes they append a letter after the s for example 2101sa. That is the same carb but different production runs. It might have different jet size or such. But still a bolt on.

Another thing to consider is airflow through those after market 4 inch air filters. They suck at sucking. At minimum double them up, but better still fabricate something to use a real filter element. Even a couple sauce pan lids with a 6 inch round will flow much better that those Mr. Gasket elements. If anybody has a flow bench that could check this out I bet you would be surprised on how restrictive those are.

just a quick note, the 32/36 weber is the carb that we use on the 1300 cc suzuki samurai engine. maybe if you used two of them?
