NO, NO, NO 327 cu. in. only keep it stock!! Sorry former Corvette person, just can't stand anything but factory stock on a Vette.
I have always wondered why you never see any 409s in Vettes. It seems like a natural swap but I have never seen one in person.
The 409 belongs in a full size car, discussion over, unless maybe it were to find it's way into a 49-57 Chevy. However, years ago, there used to be a 67-68 Camaro with a 409 in it that used to race at Bremerton Raceway. SBC in the Vette. And that looks like a Dodge Dart (?) behind the 62, how'd that happen? Butch/56sedandelivery.
I like the hubcaps on the 'vette. I found some (7) for my project and all but 1 need some massaging and chrome. Then I found out that they were made of brass! Steve
Keep it REAL! 409s only belong in '58-'62 big cars! They look freaky in everything else! Best in '59's !
That 62 is Nice. I just had a discussion yesterday at a small show where there was a nice 61, with the 409. Told some friends that I would like 62, They all said never made those. I said they did just not many. I had a 62 ss 409 in the 70s ,not a bubble. Congrats Jack
I'd say the car behind is a 63 Dodge. I'd know that master cylinder reinforcement plate anywhere.....LoL
Looks good Bob! 6inarow/Tom just moved up the hill from me and bought a 62 409 as well. Damn things are like rabbits around these parts!
If it were me I'd put that 409 in a Biscayne or Belair 2 door post car. They look better in them then a glitzy Impala hardtop.
