Ok guys I need some help. I've been looking at 9" stuff all day. And need advice. I bought a 9" that is 61.25 long. Has no axles but came with 3rd member that is 4:11 ratio 31 spline. Paid 75 dollars for it. It is a old style big ford. So 3.5 x 2.375 I need to get axles and brakes. I have juice brakes on the front so I don't think discs will help that much on the back. I need to know - Best place to get axles for a good price and length. Brakes What 3rd member I have and is it worth keeping. Kasey Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

It's going in a 31 ford coupe. The tires are really wide. I forgot the size. It will work fine. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
some good info here on what you might have http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/9InchAxles.html
Cut your own. Use a thin cutoff wheel on a grinder: http://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/axle-shafts-direct-fit/axle-model/ford-9-in?SortBy=None&SortOrder=Ascending&keyword=cut%20to%20fit%20axles
Yukon Axle and Gear, the link I posted, IS Randy's Ring and Pinion. http://www.ringpinion.com/b2c/PartsList.aspx?SearchMode=Cat&CatID=20&MakeID=2&ModelID=237&Side=Rear&DriveType=4WD&DiffID=277
Make sure you get the brake kit you want BEFORE you narrow, and measure, measure, and measure again. This is my '31 and I woun d up narrowing it to 52" wms to wms.
