Last night got all the airlines all finished up and got it off the hoist. Old door frames sand blasted an primed, and while i was waiting for those to dry i started messing around with the hand brake mechanism. Pulled one out of a land cruiser I totaled a few months back and it seems to work Nicely in next to the seat. Just gotta make a cable now

Some updates from the last few days, been trying to find another pair of doors cause the ones iv got are twisted a bit and I'm chasing my tail trying to fix them. Iv got a lead on a set so hopefully that pays off! Just little bits and pieces of progress as iv Ben doing heaps of overtime lately and was sposed to have a weekend off last weekend but got called up to work. Anyways, got more sound deadening stuff and finished off the front floor sections and firewall. Welded up a corner of where the pillar joins the sill. Got the hand brake all functioning and cut out some inner pieces of the rear window frames to fit a window in. Started making new door skins as well but hopefully I won't need them.

    Thanks mate!

Progress has been happening iv just been flat out at work so haven't had much time to update this thread.
Got some other doors as the other ones I had were twisted and just to much work to fix.(I might fix them one day but I'm on a tight time frame here at the moment haha iv got 50 days to get this thing all straight and running properly, in primer and all back together so I can drive it to chopped! . Anyway. The doors are from a coupe not a two door sedan so il have to modify the top window frame which isn't a big deal but they are in a lot better condition then the others are and they are probably the only other spare doors in the country! there is a couple rust pin holes and a few dints and the check strap areas are damaged but all pretty simple stuff to fix. Also finished off the sound deadening and started routing the wires and what not through the cabin, also all the gauges work now to!

Been working flat out but have had a bit of time on the chev. Got the door tops welded on from the other doors, got all the door gaps pretty close to perfect and dad helped me with some tapping up of the body work and doing some lead loading and started some bog/ fiberfill work yesterday. Decided against filling over a sealer as dad thinks it bites in better to the raw steel, my plan was to seal it then bog work but he has been doing this Job for more than 45 years so I listen to him when he suggests somthing. Thanks guys!

Update, pretty much all the lead and bog work is done on the quarters, just have to do a bit more work on the doors with the nail gun and stuff and the front sheet metal just needs to be rubbed back a bit. But the quarters are in sealer, but because I'm working away this weekend probably won't get in primer until Monday or Tuesday night. Iv got a tinted primer that I'm gonna paint the whole car with and just drive around like that untill after its chopped and a few other custom things like headlights and tail lights are all finished up.

Bit of an update got the gaurds, bonnet and boot all primed up in the tinted primer last night and the main body primed tonight, still have to get the doors straight and primed but il be able to start putting the inside in it tomorrow night. The color of the primer isn't as subtle as I had thought it would be in my head when I ordered it but its growing on me and its only temporary.
Also got a new tire to replace the ripped up one that started this whole build, talk about snowballing.

Couple more pics, should have the doors primed tonight after work, last night I got all the seatbelt mounts made/moved from where the old four door ones were and the three belts in the front(not gonna put any in the back because there's not going to be a proper seat in there) got the radio wired up and tested it and finalized the patterns for the glass that are getting picked up today.
