    Great sheet metal work...

My grandfather built furnace ducts from scratch for years (he died in 1986)

He was an absolute wizard and built a lot of other things, among them replacement panels for cars. I used to watch him as a child and was always mesmerized at how easily he turned a flat piece of metal into a perfectly fitting panel.

One of the great things about this forum is the affirmation that those skills still exist out there. I hope the guys who have them also have the time and patience to pass them on.

took a little break from the car lately, hard to go out in the shop and work when the weather is nice and I have my Acadian to cruise! got back at it last week a bit, started building the structure for the rear section of the floor and the template for the floor pan, hopefully get the floor cut out, bead rolled and bent this weekend. got a few pics of what I've done so far, will be more pics to follow

Nice work. It looks that you will have plenty of rear suspension travel.

spent some time this morning cutting out and bead rolling and bending the rear section of the floor pan, got it trimmed up enough to fit in the car, still needs to come out a few more times before I can weld it in for good, the pics give you a good idea on how its going to look tho. there's not going to be much trunk room that's for sure, by the time I get a fuel tank and battery in there I might have room for couple small bags!

well I haven't posted in a long time but I have been doing some work on the car, finished fabing up the floor, built a little internal roll bar to hold the body together, cut the original tank out, rolled a piece of pipe for the top edge of the dash and tacked in a new 32 style dash, also today I built a custom radiator mount and mounted a aluminum rad that I modified ( going to paint it black when its done) and mounted the grille shell

well I haven't been working on the car lately because I sold my house and I'm moving next week, yes it has a bigger shop! moved the car over to my dads place last week, used his 56 ford pickup as a tow vehicle, looked pretty awesome going down the road!

Cool, post some Pics of the new place. Looks to me like your shop was a decent size, but we know bigger is better when it comes to shops.

Looking forward to seeing the project continue, and still waiting for your dad to post Pics of his cycle fenders and the mounts for his roadster. :)

well I finally got my shop fixed up and cleaned up since my I moved in September. been working on the roadster a bit for the last few months, thought I better up date with a few pics, got some head lights mounted, made the headlight mount for it from scratch, got a badass fuel cap for xmas and recessed it in the panel above the trunk lid. and I finally got my new blacked powder coated steelies and mounted them to the firestone bias plies I got at the Portland swap meet last year
