  1. Thursday Night Thunder was on ESPN, dude. From the Speedrome most nights.

And ESPN is getting out of Nascar, they were even looking at letting the contract go early over to NBC. I don't know what they'll have on - just drag racing?

I'm not sure why now every major network feels like it needs it's own sports network, but now they all have one, so you'll have four channels of all exactly the same highlights and scores you can already get on the internet for free. Speed was at least unique.

I liked Pass Time and that lowrider show that lasted 4 weeks. Back to politics and jail shows, you know, the ones where they show you what its like to be in jail, usually starts Friday night when you are about to relax and go off when you go back to work on monday. The war on drugs is very strong.

My Dad just clued me in on this as well. He said he came home and popped on Speed and it was Football. Obviously Fox just bought if for the NASCAR deal. It appears the rest has been converted to stick and ball. Most of the Car Guy shows have moved to MAV TV. Thanks Forrest Lucas (Lucas Oil) for giving them a place to land.

I thought I was losing it and couldn't find speed channel last weekend. This explains it.

As a couple people have already mentioned Velocity Channel has some good programming. If you have Verizon FiOS is channel 631

I agree with you about the next generation following up so the move will stay alive. My 50 yr old son enjoys driving the rods, but isn't really "into" the move. My 19 yr old Grandson seems to have the "camel toe" on his mind. I would like to see more Austin LonestarRoundups, since that action would at least keep us mossbacks going.

Ditto on that! Same here. I got rid
of my TV more than 5 years ago
and don't miss it one bit. The
problem is not just the incessant
    mind numbing commercials that
are repeated over and over and
are aimed at the very lowest and
    dumbest common denominator,
    but the shows themselves too,
which for the most part are
    nothing but thinly disguised
    commercials themselves, And
what actual content the shows do
have is also, like the commercials ,
aimed at and calculated to appeal
to the very lowest very lowest
    and dumbest and dumbed-down
    common denominator.

  9. I agree, I don't have any means of watching broadcast(cable or Fox, ABC, NBC etc.). I do like to watch documentaries and educational videos on Youtube. And porn of course.
