Then work was started on the posts. I was set on having the posts slanted so thats how it was done. I dont have any detailed pics of how it was done, but it turned out alright.

A good buddy of mine recently sold a pristine '34 Ford sedan to a dude from Sweden for $24 grand. When he called me about it, I shit in my skivvies.

The vent window frames finished to. They were had to be redone because the first time the top and bottom pins didn´t line up so we couldn´t open the window. Now they work fine.

Then finally we could roll it outside for a better look.

At this point i got a little bit nervous and started to think i must be crazy doing this. We had to quickly put the roof back on so we could se the line we were after.

My Pop always said if you have a grinder & a welder ,you can fit anything.

    Look good, Real nice lines.

I've never chopped a fastback, it looks like a hard job, you nailed it to perfection.

    Of to the painter.

They wasted no time and took it down to bare metal. I was a bit worried that some old patches or there would be lots of bondo in some places. The only problems we saw were 2 dints in the roof over the left door. It looked like a ladder had fallen on the roof in some point of its life, funny but it was not noticeable from the inside. A friend stepped in and fixed it quickly and we were back on track and it was in primer in no time. I have seem to lost all the bare metall photos so we will have to do the primer shots.

The front fenders needed a bit more work but not that bad.

Nice job ,deck lid fit and finish is the is the challenging part isn't it.Everything flows .Removing the B pillers making it a hard top would of helped take the straight line and sharp corners away from the round body.No matter what color you paint the car if it was mine (it's not) I would paint the post black so it doesn't stand out. Don't get me wrong I think you did a awesome job,it looks cool as hell the way it is. Be proud and cruze with a big smile.

Absolutely the best top on a fastback body that I have ever seen! What color are you going to be using?

That is perfection, well done. Such a beautiful car already, yet every modification looks as though it was always meant to be that way. Like everybody else here I'm keen to know the color, keep us posted!
