    This was my parents car when new, a 1950 Meteor Deluxe 4 door sedan. That's me hanging on to the accessory tailfin at the age of 5. A Canadian Ford model it was two-tone Brown and had most every option you could get at the time.

    I think this is one of the most fascinating photos of this tread. It is so eery -- you could almost feel the silence of the scene and the chill of the fog.

    The planes don't have wings or props, but they have auxiliary fuel tanks.

    I'm guessing that this is in Britain, partly assembled aircraft shipped from the U.S., unloaded in Britain, and then assembled for combat...perhaps in preparation for D-Day...the trucks look British, think that that is a British roundel on the fender

    Yep a tragic and truly damning picture
    to be sure. As the saying went 'back
    in the day' - this girl and a whole lot
    of ordinary people just like her too,
    through absolutely no fault of their
    own saw "a lot more mealimes
    than meals
    "
    . :(:mad::mad: Don't ever think
    that it can't or won't happen here
    again either.
