    My Great Grandfather's station in the 1930's. It was located in Catawba, WI. It burned down and then he moved the family to the Milwaukee area after the war. He also sold Hudson & Willy's cars out of it for a while.

    Here are a few to remember. I worked in a Team in one. White trousers, long sleeve starched shirt. bow tie and overseas cap. No self service allowed there. Full time mechanic and very busy Lube Bay and Tire Shop.

    I took this photo in 1998 in Baja Mexico on the highway between Mexicali and San Felipe. They were still using the old hand-pump visible-bowl gas pump at that time.
