Am setting up 2 94's on an early weiand for my 81a in the '40, and would like to know what jet sizes others with similar set up are running. Both carbs will operate together, engine is good healthy one that is basically stock. Headers, twin system and a very mild cam . thanks in advance....
2 94's are really to much for a 81a unless it's built really hot - My 81a has a pair of Stromberg 81's it runs really well with stock ( 35 I think ) jet size. I'm not much help...
Jet size is important but also the power valves need to be changed too because with two carbs the vacuum will be less.
Do a search on the HAMB, Holley tech, 94 info, ect. Much info out there, some good, some not so good.
We are running 46 mains on twin carb 276 strong flatty with a mild cam that was blown at one stage. Also run 43 mains on a twin carb 260 motor mild but BIG cam and on this could possibly sneak a smaller main but with the BIG cam it tends to snatch at low rpm in a tall gear though on the open road it just wants to keep going. At least in NZ we don't have to worry about altitude.
I am running 49 jets in both carbs and 2.5 power valves in each carb. Gets good mileage with plenty of power. In higher altitudes I need to plug one power valve otherwise too much fuel.
