I traded if for a '67 Camaro (insert IDIOT) in San Diego about 1977. Love to know if it's still around.

I really wish I could find the little '24 and put it back in my garage.

  7. I kind of wish I had kept them all. But life happens. I wish I had kept my first car, a 56 Ford, because I think it ended up scrapped.
Even though its off topic here, I really miss my old Fairlane XL. 390/4speed. Man I had a lot of fun in that car. Learned a lot about Ford FEs messing with it. Tried to find it again but to no avail.

One owner 64' Fairlane with 61k original miles. Yes a real old lady owner with a gas pedal extender and a single hole in the carpet from her high heel shoes she wore everyday! 289/C4 with not so much as a ding. took me 12 years to actually buy it..new owner immediately changed the color to babyblue :(

The little 55 Wagon. Sold it because my wife (at the time) told me it was one of the cars or her..... I should have taken her up on her offer.....

Sweet little car, original straight six with a three speed on the tree with overdrive. I bought it with the intention of using her as a daily driver. My kids loved it as well.

    Here's one that hurts. Mine wasn't a 409, just a 283/3 on the tree, red/red. I was 15.

Not the actual car, but you get the idea.

The 51 Bonneville car I sold back to the family.....

  26. Here are 2 of many. My first car when I was 16, a 57 Ford Retracable Hardtop, 312, automatic, 2x4 intake - sold it for $75. My 3rd car when I was in college, 50 Mercury Coupe, V8, overdrive, radio, skirts, Fulton visor, 50,000+ miles when I sold it out of Hemmings for $800 in 1972. Went to Ohio and got restored - didn't need much. Included Offy heads and intake, Isky Jr. 400 cam.

I have to say that my story is a little different. A little off topic so I won't post pictures. In 1982 I bought a stock '70 VW Bug in San Antonio while I was in the Army. Over the years I built it into a pretty nice Baja Bug. I've heard so many people say "I never should have sold....." so I've said that I was never going to say that about this car. When my son was about 10 years old he told me "dad, I want to have your car someday." About 5 years ago I asked him if he was still interested in someday owning my Bug? He is now 33 years old and he told me "dad, you have to give me first shot at it if you decide to sell it." Well, now that I'm getting started on my '51 Chevy I've decided that in the next 2 or 3 years my son is going to receive a Christmas card with the signed title to the Bug in it. And I still won't be able to say "I never should have sold......"

I've had many, but this one still hurts. 283- 60 over, M22 4sp, 3:36 hiway gear, 21 mpg consistent. Had to sell, did not want to in 2006.
