    Your thinking of the Hurst built dual quad AMX's that ran Super Stock/C (and still do). The Hurst SC/Rambler at 315 hp and a shipping weight of 3058# would fall into SS/H. Adding the allowable 150# could move it up into SS/I, where it would go up against 327 2nd gen Novas and 340 Darts and Demons.

    Actually saw one of these at cruise night last week. Gooniest looking car I've seen in a while. :)
    Czech Tatra, engine is in the trunk.

    Yes! air-cooled hemi. What year would it have been? Probably newer than it looks :rolleyes:

    More shots of the 1965 Plymouth Fury gas powered Promotional car have surfaced. They are from a set taken at the 1965 Indy 500 where the full size car was the pace car. The driver is Playboy bunny and later Husrt shifter girl June Cochran. I also tossed in a scan of the original literature from my collection.

    Talk about Jumbo's. My understanding is being built during the Great Depression, men were lined up by the hundreds every morning hoping for a chance to work. That chance would usually happen only when someone fell, but they kept hoping for the chance.
