I pulled this out of the woods in Arkansas a couple weeks a ago.
This is where it sat since the late 60's

The man I bought it from father was the original owner if the car. He said he did the truck conversion in the 40's when he started doing plumbing work and used this as his work truck. He parked it in 1956, the plate is still on it.

    Got'er loaded

500 miles later back home in Texas. Did a wheel swap and rolled her off the trailer. Doors open and shut, windows roll up and down and the seat still slides back and forth.

Plans are for a full fendered unchoped gasser. Gonna box the frame and do a super x crossmember. Ford 9" rearend and I've got a complete '36 ford front end. Haven't decided on a motor yet.
Question I have for y'all is to get the front end up in the air do I need to have a custom spring made or is there something out there that will work?
I wanna keep it transverse and I do not want to put blocks or a weld in spacer under it. Thanks

That's got a lot of history in it. Coupe bodies are common (see my avatar), if I had yours I would keep it as is and just make it a banger.

Thanks, I'm pretty stoked on building this. Haven't decided on keeping the bed or not. Probably end up depending on how hard it will be to find quarters for it.
Anybody have any info on a front spring? I've done quite a bit of searching and haven't came up with anything yet.

keep the bed!! there were sooo mant of those converted to trucks to make them usable for farmers, but few of the survived the rough life.... make it a cool old famers hot rod.. it has a lot of character that way... i love it! i think its one of the coolest looking conversions ive seen in a while.

Anybody ever ran a model T rear spring on the front ? I've seen a couple that appear to have them.

    What a find.
    Lot of history there.
Build it like you want but I would have to keep the body as is.
