Event Coverage My 1st HAMB drags experience!

Reading Ryan's coverage of the drags I couldn't help but see where he was coming from. I have been a member of the HAMB since before I could even legally drive by myself and yet every year of the drags I found some reason why I couldn't go.

This year after moving to Kansas City we are awfully close to Mokan and when my wife told me that she thought we should go to the HAMB Drags, well who am I to argue? Happy wife happy life right?

Well let me tell you, it was so much more then I had ever imagined it to be. The size of the crowd and the amount of cars took me aback and how easy it was to figure out and roll with it threw the day is a testimant to what a good format and plan this has all developed into.

I took a few walks around between stints at Poverty Flat's tent and was so floored to see so so many people I knew, amazing cars I'd seen online and others never before, and to know that if I didn't know some one I could just say hi and meet them with out being afraid of the guy being a total prick because I was in the company of thousands of HAMBers!

I don't know that I can really fully put it all into words but I'm sure some one will do a pretty good job at some point so here are a bunch of photos and later ill add some shakey video. Haha, but seriously alot of it was using a mega zoom and held over my head and any wobble translated into a shake.

And yes, I did finally catch a glimpse of that mythical Ryan person. Much like bigfoot I questioned his existence before seeing him in his natural habitat but he looked real to me!

Great shots Bro!! Glad that you were able to make it finally!! Like you, I have missed out on every, single, HAMB Drag since the first one. I even built my Plymouth coupe back then to run at the very first one and had shit pop up and couldn't go! All these years later and I still haven't been. Pretty damn sad really.....Glad you had fun and looking forward to more coverage!! I guess I have to live vicariously through the web for another year!!!

Very high quality pictures of some very nice cars. Thanks for sharing, made me feel like I was there.

Wish we had some HAMB drags near here. We do have the Billetproof Drags and they are very cool and about the most fun I have ever had at a car event.
