    More updates.

Got the motor / tranny installed, shifter bolted in, driveshaft in...

Body worked and painted the firewall and last night a few guys stopped over to help lift the the body on.

Iv been bustin knuckles on the roadster getting it ready for our show in September and for the Race Of Gentleman in October. Wont be long now! Got the intake and exhaust bolted on, wrapping those header really sucked! Got the plug wires run,,,,well sorta, I left them a bit long so I could trim them later just in case the fire order was off. Made those little aluminum clips to hold the wires so they wouldn't touch the headers. Had the starter rebuilt and the alternator rebuilt and converted to 12V.

That header wrap is amazing stuff, really keeps the heat in.

Got the fuel tank mounted, fuel lines run and most of the firewall trim mounted. Next is the dash, column mount and wiring..

  12. Funny I was just looking at a Caddy on Sunday at a show in Guilford Ct. Thinking what a cool motor for a Hot Rod. I bet it was fun getting that to fit. Love your roadster. Good Luck with it!

The motor did light! We all took quick rides up and down the street...but I almost lost the entire car the night before due to a harness fire! Something was "off" with the generator and regulator which caused a fire,,,I just about shit my pants! I have since corrected the problem and replaced the wires that burnt..

Most of the club came by and lent a hand which was a huge help in meeting the goal for the ROG and the Alter Boys show.

Congrats on a uber cool build Pete. So many one off creations on the beast. Love those awesome wheels, the fog lamps on the headlite bar, and every other cool ass thing you have done. Enjoy! ~sololobo~

  24. Hey Pete,
How well are your exhaust flanges sealing? I'm curious as to how well the pads on the primaries work in terms of them clamping down. I'm going to have to do the same when I make pipes for my LaSalle.

I did have a problem with the driver side rear port but only because it moved during welding. I fixed it and it seems to be ok
