I have the wood for the rear window out of the car now but I can stick it in this weekend with the pan. Anything in particular you are looking for? I can take pictures of the setup out of the car too.

Yes, I can give that measurement. I can tell you this, it is different measurement from one car to another

Good Luck on your car and thanks Brady1929

Im not shure if I should make my own pan or if to buy one.
It would be nice to know how it mounted.
    Cheers

    Viper 32

The width from center line at the B pillar is 22 5/8

I have taken a few shots from the frame to the outside 1'" and from the center of the body mounting hole.

    Martin

I'll take pictures and get dimension on the pan for you. Battery went dead

    Is that a 240z.....cool :)
Thanks Mike for spending time helping me out.
You made it possible for me making one, its not exactly perfect but it works as nobody will ever see it. My beadroller is to short so I couldnt do the middle bead so I made it a little different.
    Ps,nice hammer-collection:)

Yup that a 240/260 my son's project. The hammers have been a hobby of mine for years. Mostly Plomb and Proto's a few snap on and others.

Well it's been a while since my last post...Summer is almost gone and as with all of us life has gotten in the way of much progress until the last couple weeks.

I finally started to finish the floor , for some reason this and the firewall have really been difficult for me.

I have managed to make the center panel and the floor boards ( well sort of).

I wanted to show how I made the panel as Henry did . Here are a couple of the tricks I have used .

While the floor boards look cool I have decide to go another direction after installing the shifter .

Last weekend I started the body work. I began by using a metal claening wheel and then grinding/sanding the entire car.

Here a shot or two of the body and then with the first applications of rage gold.

    ....lot's of sanding ...argh

    more pictures after the weekend...

Could I ask exactly what is a "metal cleaning wheel"?

    Thanks.

It looks great by the way.

    It's looking awesome! Great work!

  20. This is a fabulous project. Great work. My hat's off to you!

Are you using a some type of metal preservative / rust preventive on the bare metal as you work (i.e., Gibbs, etc.)? If you have already mentioned it elsewhere on this thread, I missed it.

CavMan-stop by anytime , your always welcome!!

Bob-really been about 6 months since I spent much time on the car...wife wants to see this thing done (and so do I)

Mart -I will shoot a picture of the disc i am referring too tomorrow.

fiftyv8-I suppose you could do one after the other ... electolysis first perhaps.

The water has to be able to carry electric current, so Molasses , water and washing soda may not have the same affect? Not sure.
