I want to run supremes and pinner whites on my 65 chevy. I think the thinnest adapter is around 2" thick. The wheels must be able to tuck because when aired out the rockers are about 1/4" off the ground. Do I have any chance of making this work or am I stuck with 6 lug steelies? Thanks

I would swap the spindles, hubs and axle shafts with a '72 Chevy pickup and actually have 5 lug wheels.

If your supremes are going to be painted, weld up the holes and drill new ones.

I used the drum and a transfer punch. Easy and no aluminum spacers.

I doubt he'd be able to do that with supremes. Some of the bolt holes will surely end up on the spoke.

My '62 has been converted to 5 on 5 all around. I ran "Supres" for a while...

Pretty hard to run a 5 spoke wheel like a Astro Supreme and make it look correct with 6 bolt holes. The bolt holes don't line up. Your best bet would be looking at swaping hubs and/or rotors like mentioned.

I'm guessing he's talking about the new supreme knock offs that look like supremes but have six spokes and six lug holes. I saw them in a recent classic trucks magazine.

Sounds like the best solution, if expensive mods are not required. Are the axles interchangeable with a '72 C10?

Bing-o! Or custom inset/offset your stock steelies and then have them Chromed.

I was thinking of using 6 to 5 lug adapters. Might be cheaper to just swap the truck to 5 lugs.
Anyone know what's involved with the swap?

I read all 13 of 13 pages at their website on 60-66 C10's. All I was able to glean is a 71-72 C10 12 bolt rear end is a direct bolt in, but will be 1.5" wider. This implies if you only use the 71-72 axles in a 60-66 rear end, the axles will have to be shortened at least 3/4" in length to fit. Then, hopefully the splined end will be adequate enough to bolt up.

Yah I searched over there for 5 lug conversions. It seems like more trouble then its worth. Maybe I'll paint the wheels a different color for now. Here she is without the beauty rings...
