Nope. Gonna use it as a truck. I would like to have the extra room with a spun aluminum tank in the front

That bed is nice. It won't look long with fenders on it.

I plan on boxing the frame, going thru the brakes, wiring it, possibly selling a few of the parts thst came with it to fund it. It has a walker radiator for a sbf and 2/3rds an k member, a stock bumper, and a few other things I haven't decided o. Whether or not I want to run. Ideally I'd like to run a 390 cad but If I want it to see the road, the caddy just isn't in the budget. I may have a lead on a 348 short block from the gent I got the truck from. I want it out ob the road by june 2014

Just playing! It wil keep the rear parallel leaf setup for round one but the front will get a "A" crossmember and the front axle will be dropped. I plan on adding new bushings to the stock shackles and attemping to reverse the stock spring. I have 40 ford 16's and plan to run 7.50-16 in the rear with 6.50s in the front. It have a stock seat and dash. Should be simple and fun with very little parts newer than the early 60s

    HA! You got me, Fucker.

Your on track. "I like a Ya Style"

Keep the Axle, It's Money. Reverse the spring. FREE! Just get bigger wheels. On the front, I ran OG 17" on 216/65/17 & just took out some leaves.

i would get a new main leaf made or bought. The eyes move out when reversed. This lets the shackles droop and maybe the spring will rub the axle. I would go a 5.50-16 to get it down a bit in front. I like to run oil lite bronze bushings. I run them on hot rod shackles. Just put the nuts in front for the stocker look. You would need a main leaf in the model A style as the 32 spring has bigger eyes

  26. Nice Truck! Who's that fat guy that keeps getting in the picture? Oh, wait...

  27. A 348 would be sweet in that truck. Thats what I am putting in mine.:D

so I got the front off tonight to find the axle is slightly bent on the pass side. Bums me out cuz I had a friend ready to drop it as soon as I got it apart. I may try and straighten it. Or sell it and buy a boring aftermarket axle:mad:

  30. That's a bummer. Should definitely try to have it straightened. Can the guy dropping it get it straight?
