I dismantled my 1930 Model A Sport Coupe in 2008. I need to ID these brackets....................... Thank you in advance, LG, Mike
They bolt to the door latch posts (B-post) , were the wood for the belt rail and 1/4 panels bolt together later kb
Hi KB, Thanks for the quick response. I think you are confusing these brackets for the ones shown in this picture. The ones in the picture are much larger and flatter.
So far the closest I have found is in "BERT'S" catalog. The 1928-29 Model A uses a similar bracket between the windshield post and the wood header. Still researching.
Try posting it on the Model A forum of Fordbarn. Someone there will know. -Tim Thanks Tim............... Done deal- just posted. Someone out there has to have this mounted on their car........... LG, Mike
The sport coupe and the 5 window use the same bracket. On the sport coupes it is riveted to the 1/4 panel and bolts to the B post, Here's a pic of the same bracket on a 1930 5 window coupe later kb
Thanks a BILLION KB............ The only thing that may not be correct is that on the Sport Coupe the two bolts on the TOP come through the large triangle bracket- through the quarter panel- then through the belt line wood and through the corner bracket. (I'm speaking for my Sport Coupe) The two bolts that I now have in place are NOT long enough so I will have to remove the large triangle bracket and replace them so they will reach through the corner bracket. The three bolts coming off the "B" pillar are long enough so I'm fine there. I hate to redo things..........some times, I have to do it more than twice- THANK YOU ALL for taking the time to help me out- the HAMB is GREAT!!! LG, Mike
This is the bracket installed in a 1930 Sport Coupe. http://s198.photobucket.com/user/vs...sbeltlinesupportbracket_zpsdd7d35f3.jpg.html][/IMG] LG, Mike
