This is a little off topic, but I was wondering if anybody recognized this steering box that has been scabbed onto this tractor. It rotates the same direction as a early ford box. (Not cross steer). The fill plug seems like its in a odd location. Maybe some sort of 60s van?

Good call! Looking at pics online, that is what the steering wheel is too.

Now to try and get it unstuck so it will turn. The filler plug has been off and it's been setting outside for 40 years.

  5. Wouldn't waste my time on that gear box, If the plug is off I'm sure its full of rust and water!
