http://www.scta-bni.org/Bonneville/SpeedWeek 2013/LiveStream.html Not sure if this has been posted yet, but the SCTA is streaming 'live' audio from the Salt Flats. Pottet/Main went 440mph on Saturday and had some problems with the canopy for the back up record run on Sunday. The guys on the "Landracing" site said that they are having trouble with the stream with IE. I'm running 'firefox' and it works great, the stream crashes every now and then. Now if I can figure out how to stream it on iPhone. Chris Nelson Kansas
Shoot, I can't get it to run with either firefox or explorer, that would be good work entertainment today.
I would think it would work better if they slowed the slideshow pic's down some. They are just random pic's, so slowing them down would not hurt anything. My iPad is having a hard time loading the pic's. The audio is the main thing anyway.
It's been working just fine on my Mac, at least since yesterday, although I've missed quite a bit of it since part of my job is listening to videos here at work so I can't pay attention to two things at once. haha Any updates on Speed Demon (do they get to go back out to try for the record again?) and Gene Winfield (driving The Thing) would be greatly appreciated.
Speed Demon had a fire yesterday and Ron Main was working on the car & when he works on the car it's pretty urgent. Is Gene there? He normally arrives on Monday? from what I have seen in the past. Chris
Oh man, sucks about SD. I don't know when Gene was arriving. He brought the car over to us last Friday to tune it and have been waiting to hear what happened.
Thanks sodbuster. I just got home from a weekend trip out there and missed some of the cars I wanted to see run. This is almost like being back. I saw the speed demon run yesterday morning both times leading to the fire. Vesco 444 ran for the first time right as I was leaving yesterday. I may go back to see the Turbinator run if they have it ready in the next day or so. Anyone have news on it?
Couple reports on Landracing.com forum say 2 runs today, 102.xxx and 118.xxx. They should show up on today's run logs when the SCTA posts 'em on their site tomorrow. They've been getting them out mid mornings this year. Ed
