Shoeboxford gone.

  1. I guess Ray finally retired from the Shoebox Ford hobby. Check out what showed up there a week or so back.

One would think they would have been auctioned off or put up for sale.

That's fucked...I was going to make a crack that they were probably just a bunch of rusty 4-doors, but already I see a bunch of useable parts. Lazy asshole...

  11. There were Crestliners, Victorias, tudors, and coupes in addition to four doors. I don't see much inventory worth bidding on in these pictures.

Everyone bitches and moans when this happens.
If you are so concerned, step up and buy it.
They were a bunch of scrap anyway. Lots more where they came from.

I'm mad and sad at the same time..it sucks to see cars like that

  16. Not so, I live locally and drive by there everyday going to work. They simply closed the doors and then one day the crusher showed up. I've been buying parts there for more than 14 years. There were a lot of good straight bodies and lots of good usable parts there. I spent many hours walking and looking amongst the cars while visiting with Ray, Chris and Hollie. I don't know the full story and refuse to speculate. I am just sad that so much fine American steel is now headed to China for recycling.

  17. Maybe he was trying to send a message. I can't think of a good reason to do that unless they where junk.

  18. Hmm, did you rent them the crusher?

YeaH! Just because they were 'his car's, do what he wants' does not mean with have to agree or like it. Been nice if ALL efforts were exhausted (!) before they were crushed.

    www.shoebox-central.com
Just tried it and it still searches for cantral , so go figure.
You need to manually type and search

I have a Victoria and i'm sure there's a lot of other guys that have these models that need parts too. I just haven't gotten as far in my build to search for parts yet. Crying shame!!!

Even though he's out and it ended in a very ugly way I'm still very much in the business.
I have built up a very impressive inventory and adding more parts to the site almost every night. Check out the site shoebox-central.com or call with questions and needs 405-259-9222

From what I can see, I can identify 53 Ford grill. 52 and up are not very popular body styles and it's very difficult to get parts so people ignore them. I can tell from his website that 52 and up inventory is 0, which tells me he just got rid of stuff that he couldn't sell. As sad as it is to see, his business, his decision.

Things are changing my friend! The 1952-59 Ford Social Group shows 1200+ members over 50% are 1952-54 Fords
